    Multiple autofills help

    Hello,

I have a list in column A of an excel spreadsheet e.g a,b,c,d,e,f,g,h,i etc but in between each letter are a number of blank rows and I want to autofill them so that the list goes aaaaaa, bbbbbbb, ccccccc, ddddddddddddddddddd etc etc without having to manually drag each letter down.

Can anyone help with a macro?

I have attached a dummy list

Click on the Winner Board at the top of the screen, and see my tip (2nd) on completing partially-filled data.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi,

When I click on the Winner Board and then on your tip it comes up with a message "It seems we can’t find what you’re looking for. Perhaps searching, or one of the links below, can help."

Okay, it appears that link is broken, so here is what to do, assuming your list is in column A:

Select column A by clicking on the column identifier
    Press the F5 key
Click Special on the dialogue box, then click against Blanks and OK.
Begin entering a formula by typing an =
    Press the Up-Arrow key
Then do CTRL-Enter (Hold down CTRL and then press Enter)

All those blanks will be filled, and you can use Copy | Paste Special | Values | OK |<Esc> to fix the values.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi Paula,

glad to hear that the suggestion helped you.
