macro to identify duplicates across multiple worksheets

We use a spreadsheet to hold data about clients & pension policies. I can attach it to a post but I would need to remove personal data first (or I can make a duplicate that contains nonsense). There is a separate worksheet for each month and one for totals. We have discovered that some clients have been entered in one month when they are already in one of the other worksheets. Can I ask - in principle only at this stage - if it is possible to write a macro that will start at the first line that contains client data and search the rest of the spreadsheet to see if the data contained on that line appears elsewhere in the workbook? This will enable us to find and remove duplicates from the workbook.

If the answer is 'yes', I will send another post with the workbook attached.

Yes that is possible... Do you know there is a remove duplicates section in the data tab in excel... you should be able to simply use that button and do what you need to do... but if not there is a way to do what you are asking and if you cant use the remove duplicates button on the data tab please explain why in your new post with the attached file.
