Define string as true. If cell contains string then cell=true problem

Hi all,

I hope someone could help please?

I would like to find a string in a cell. If this string is true then to perform an action.
The string will have been found earlier on and defined to be true.

I have the following code but it isn't working, please could someone help me? What is frustrating is that sometimes it does work and others it doesn't.

(Where .cells(row,1) contains the string Methodology1)

Just to add that when I hover my mouse over my if statement it says true=true but still skips the action as if it doesn't meet the criteria.
