Overnight Macro/VBA button not working.

Hi All,

I have looked through the forums but could not find anyone with the same problem. I am running version 2013.

I have had an Excel document which has been working for years literally, and worked fine with this version of Excel. It opens up with what is essentially a cover page. The cover page has nothing but multiple images on it, from that you simply click one of these images and it runs a very simple recorded VBA script for each button image.

I have checked the VBA and it is all intact (very simple visible not visible with a final sheet selection). I have checked that all the sheets are still intact and none of the names have changed.

I can select the image but no action takes place the image has the following in the formula bar
=EMBED("Forms.Image.1","")
And the image has the name that was associated with it in the Selected Cell area to the top left of the column/row refences.

If I right click and check for properties it gives me the properties for the entire sheet and nothing else. All of the Macros appear to have disappeared.

Has anyone come across this kind of thing before? Is there a simple fix?

I have also tried to insert a new ActiveX image but it simply says cannot insert object.
I can record new Macros but not create them.

I have adjusted the settings the allow without restrictions for both Macros & ActiveX. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
