Help require to get date in dd mm yyyy format in mail merge letter

    Dear friends,
The date format in the word file is changing after mail merge. I have date format ‘dd mm yyyy’ in excel file which I want in the letter after mail merge. Now it’s changing to ‘mm dd yyyy’ in the letter after mail merge. The system date format is ‘dd mm yyyy’.

    Any help will be appreciated.

    Thanking you,

    Sincerely,

    mso3

    Hi, mso3,

this is a problem of Word, not of Excel. You should find plenty of articles if you start searching for formatting in word like http://support.microsoft.com/kb/320473/EN-US.

    Ciao,
    Holger

    Hi Holger,
Thank you for the link for solution. I changed the cell format of date column to 'text' and the problem is solved.

Thank you and have a happy new year.
