Dependent Drop Down list to autofill next drop down with selective choices

    Hey everyone,

This is my first post on any type of forum, I know people generally get annoyed with repetitive questions, but for times sake, I figured I would just post my and give this a try. I am very new to excel and have some basic programming experience, so my terminology might be off.

So essentially what I'm trying to do is create a program with macros withing a spreadsheet with drop down menus. I have a large data range of prices for various things, for example. (the list didn't upload properly so the screen shot is attached)

    Capture.PNG

So for the volume drop down menu, there will be 4 choices. 230, 115, 44 and 28. Now when the user selects 230, I want the next drop down (titled Rated volume) to only show the 245 option, when 115 is selected: 145 and when 44 is selected to display 46,48.4 and 50 and so on so forth. For the case with the 44, the full load would display the appropriate values for the given rated volume, and continue through the array in the same manner. The best way I can explain this is to have a "if" type function. This whole "program" will be used to estimate an entire project. I have many other price arrays but this example should suffice for me to apply it to the rest.

    Thanks for the help.

    Cheers
    -Mitch

Thanks for the reply, the problem I am encountering is now that I can't use numbers as titles in my worksheet. Any tips?

    Have you tried: 1_Title, 2_Title or Title_1, Title_2?

Re: Dependent Drop Down list to autofill next drop down with selective choices

I got it to work, thanks. A new concern has presented itself. All of my drop down menus show the desired values, but if I were to change, for example, the value of the second drop down list, it does not change the drop down list on which it is dependent. I would like to have an error message appear if there is a combination of values within the drop boxes that doesn't correspond to any of the cascade options in my arrays.
