    Error 438 when trying to log into a web

    Hello, I'm trying to make excel log into a website to get data behind it. The code opens correctly the IE, and navigates to de page, but then it gives error 438 'Object doesn't support this property or method'. The website is http://www.alvarezdemarcos.com/home_adem/wp-login.php. And the code is the following:

    Please Login or Register  to view this content.
    The error occurs in the line 'Set inpPwd = ieDoc.getElementByID("user_pass")'.

    It is my first time trying to get excel to download data behind a login and I'm a little bit lost. What am I doing wrong?

    So, if the code works, then I must have missed something... Is there any particular library I should add? Something that is not normally activated when you install office?

    Now it worked. I activated these two references:

    Microsoft XML, v3.0
    Microsoft Visual Basic for Application Extensibility 5.3
