Hoping someone can help me out - I first want to apologize for not using the correct "lingo", but I'll try to be as clear as possible.
I'm currently linking data from my Access database (in SharePoint) into Excel (From Data Connection Wizard > Other/Advanced > SQL Server Native Client > ect. ect.).
I have 18 unique queries that I'm pulling in - so 18 data connections total.
Problem: every time I open the Excel file I get the following messages:
"Initialization of data source failed.
Check the database server or contact your database administrator. Make sure the external database is available, and then try the operation again. If you see this message again, create a new data source to connect to the database"
*click ok*
"Do you want to try to connect using new connection information from the following file: 'C:/Usersblahblahblah\Documents\MyDataSources\ect.ect.ect.'
*click yes*
The next popup is titled "SQL Server Login" where I unselect "Use Trusted Connection" *click ok* (the password is already saved).
I have to repeat that entire process 18 times - then everything works great... until I have to refresh my data.
I've gone through practically every setting and I'm losing my mind. Please. Help.
