Command button brings up picture viewer instead of running macro.

I have a couple files that when the command button is pushed it brings up picture viewer instead of running the code.
If I go to design mode, view the code and run it, all works as expected. The command buttons seem to be linked to picture viewer.
Any ideas on how to fix with out killing file and losing the multiple tabs that have been created over time.

I am aware of the update issue. I have done the temporary fix. Other files with command buttons are working, it is just one collection of files (10 of them that are doing this)

    Go into design mode

right click on the button and select view code or assign macro

you should then see your issue

These buttons unfortunately do not run the a macro first. The run a private sub called CommadButton1_click.
I did try this but now it says it can't find object or library.
This was code that worked last week and other users are using copies of the templates just fine. It is just these 10 files.

The only thing that I have found to correct this is to blow the sheet away and use a backup sheet to replace.
So far all I have had to do is copy data from corrupt sheet to new sheet that has the buttons working correctly on.
Fortunately I backup copies of all sheets prior to data being entered. (Hopefully everyone else does as well.)

Definitely related to the Microsoft update in Dec 2014. But I have just about got the problem fixed on all existing PC's.
It can sometimes still rear its head on new machine setups as well the first time running sheets. However mostly on those new
machines deleting the .exd files after opening the sheets for the first time, will set the machine up.

At least until Microsoft releases a bug filled update.
