Sending e-mails based on tiered rules from Excel via Outlook

    Test Table.xlsx

    Hi all,

I am trying to manipulate a spreadsheet to send e-mails based on set information but to send a different e-mail depending on at what point in the process something is.

Please see the basic table that I have attached to the thread. The e-mails that i need to send are always to the "Exec Email" (Column I) which is fed from a VLookup based on what is chosen in Column H.

The logic which I need the sheet to include is: -

If the terms obtained field (Column L) is No and the Renewal Terms date (Column K) has passed - send an e-mail to the exec stating that terms haven't been received by the proposed date and should be chased. - This text is only basic and will require amendments to be made but for simplicities sake it needs something in it.

However (the plot thickens), because if Column L is 'Yes' then I need to move to the next argument which is: -

If the Send renewal terms to Client (Column N) field is 'No' & the date in Column M has passed or is today's date then an e-mail should be sent to the exec stating that paperwork needs to be sent to the client.

    But there's more: -

If column M & L are both 'Yes' then I need the sheet to move to the next argument: -

If column P is 'No' and column O's date has either passed or is today's date then send an e-mail to the Exec stating that The renewal is due in the near future and must be chased.

Finally if either column Q or R includes 'Yes' then ignore the record and move to the next one, also if the date in column J isn't either today's date then the record should be skipped as well.

Apologies for the crazily long winded explanation but if anyone can help I'd really appreciate it. If any further explanation is required then just let me know.

The version of outlook and excel is 2007.

    Regards,

    Andy

Do you have anything written already or are you starting from scratch? Can you post a desensitised sample workbook to base a solution on?

I usually plagiarise other similar VBA work and amend it to suit but on this issue I don't have anything to start from unfortunately.

To be honest I'm not even totally sure whether it's possible.

    Hi,

Not sure what you mean here.

"also if the date in column J isn't either today's date then the record should be skipped as well."

Sorry, i missed part of the explanation off, what it should say is: -

If the date column J isn't either today's date or has passed then the record should be skipped.

Pretty much that's the date I need notifications to be sent to people letting them know to start work, if that date hasn't yet come then no notification needs be sent.
