    Back office distribution activities in agents based on certain cretiria

    Hi all,

    The following problem has been post again in the Formulas sector. One member of this forum suggested that this problem will be fully solved with VBA programming so I post in here..

    I attach a sample of pending activities where the back office dpt need to handle.
    There are some (unique) SR ids in column A, the kind of type in column B, the agent name where activity is attached to in column C, the effort (hours) needed in order the activity to be closed in column D, the status of pending activity which gives us the priority to be closed in column E (out of target = priority 1, need to be closed = priority 2 & ok = priority 3) and in column F is the agent name where the activity should be re-assigned given the below conditions:

    1. The activities of agents (mainly pr1 & pr2, pr3 if there is spare time) who are not available (J4:K13 => 1= agent available, 0= agent is unavailable) need to be re-assigned to agents who are available.
    2. Agents ideally should have activities-effort of 7.5 hours (or more if the sum of effort of pr1 + pr2 are greater than the agents capacity , ->number of agents available * 7.5 hours) . Since the original assignment is not equally distributed in all agents, a re-assignment of extra activities of those who have more effort should be done.
    3. The activities pr1 & pri2 should all closed today but pr3 only if there is spare time.
    4. The re-assignments for activities with type1 or type2 should be done with preference in agents: name1, name2, name3, name4
    5. There is no need to re-assign all the activities from the start, but only the ones which is needed

    Do you think that this problem can be solved with VBA programming?
