    Time Stamping to another sheet

    CRO TESTING SHEETS.xlsm

    Good Moring all,
I have been trying to plot this out for days with no success and hopefully someone can help.

In the attached file I have Passdown sheet. and what i want to do is colloect of data for future graphing. What I need is anytime on the passdown tab that C3:C4 = Pause then I need it to time stamp on sheet2 column B with the Furnace number from passdown sheet columb b to be entered in sheet 2 column A. Finally this is where it gets messy (actually already seems messy) when C3:C40 gets changed out of pause then I need another time in the correct row on sheet2 column C.

Basically I need to know when things come in and out of pause. I have many things in and out of pause throught out the.

Holy cow this is awesome. I have no idea how it works but its awesome. Only 2 things I need to manually enter dates and times since it doesn't get updated regularly and i also need to input a reason which gets entered into column E.

    New Compressed .zip

Here is the full sheet. I Pause really was suppose to equal Maintenance, and those drop downs are on the pass down. and data goes on data stamp sheet. Your code is awesome wish i has some skill outside of googling. only things is i need to manually input (maybe through input boxes) date and times due to it not getting done right away in the computer all the time. also need to input a reason for entering which i have also been doing through input boxes which you can see in my code. this would be great if you could help me. finally just if you think about it someone mention that instead of input boxes for the reason try doing select opt instead?

anyways thanks for all the help you are awesome.

Re: Time Stamping to another sheet

To be honest with you, you posted a sheet and asked for certain things to be done based on certain criteria, now suddenly you have a full sheet and what you wanted is not really what you wanted. Since this site allows you to post actual sheets, I suggest you post your full sheet and state what it is you want. I would have been more than happy to give you what you really wanted in the first place, but apparently for some reason you thought it best to ask for someone to work for free on their own time writing code to do something you weren't really going to use.
    Not cool.

Re: Time Stamping to another sheet

    skywriter,
I want to first apologize because I think we mostly have a huge misunderstanding and bad communicating on my part. I absolutely need the code basically exactly as you wrote it. I thought I had the details of the needing to input info, and sorry if I didn't.
The reason I didn't post the whole workbook the first time is because i could figure out how to compress it. so i thought it would be easier to just post a sample then transfer the code to the full workbook. Later I was able to figure out how to compress which is why i just posted the whole thing. I am very sorry if I offended you in anyway or made feel as though I did appreciate your effort. I really value the people on this site as i have learned a lot from all the assistance i have received on here.
