    Project Dashboard Testing

    Hi All,

I have recently created this for my office and would like some outside input on the utility.
Do me a favor and break it, fix it, and improve it.

    Thank you,

Warning to Excel 2003 Users. This file renders MASTER file Excel11.xlb useless. Master file Excel11.xlb has to be reset, and all custom user settings have to be restored or recovered from a backup file.

That sounds bad. Can you explain what causes this, and what I can do to fix it?

    Re: Project Dashboard Testing

I said a few bad words and fixed the problem. It was my fault for not checking the file before enabling macros.

I can't tell you specifically because your workbook is password protected. My speculation is that you remove items such as the Ribbon, Toolbars and Status Bar to maximize the size of the display.

This should probably not be done without the User's permission unless you are the User's boss. If it is done, the user's state for all items that you modify should be saved at open and restored at workbook save/exit. There should also be a method to restore the user's state if the workbook crashes. None of this is trivial, especially since there are a lot of Excel Flavors out there still in operation.
