Put today's date in a specific cell if anything in that row has changed...

I have a lead tracking sheet with 15 columns of data and wanted to know if there was a formula or macro that could be used to input today's date in a specific cell if any other cell in that row were edited in any fashion?

    Example:

Column N is titled "Date Last Updated" and column O, P, Q, R, etc contain miscellaneous data or are blank. If I edit even one letter of content in cell P1, today's date would automatically input itself into N1.

Thank you in advance for any help!

Thank you so much, but I'm not sure where to take this from here. Sheet module's is a little above my pay grade.

Would it be to much to ask for you to explain how to do this? If not, I totally understand. Thank you!

In excel hit Alt +F11 to bring up the Visual Basic Editor (VBE). In the VBE, on the left hand side, locate the sheet which you want the code to work on. Double left click to bring it up on the right side. Copy and Paste the code I supplied on the right side. If macros are enabled it will work once you alter any cell in column O, P, Q, R.
