Change a lot of data - new Excel's user

    Welcome!
I have to change a lot of data that can be found on more than 1,000 sheets and each sheet is in another file. More specifically - I have to change the record 5E78340B on record 5E78320B. I know that I have to use the MACRO but it's very complicated and I'm new to Excel. Does anyone could use some help?

    I want to be sure.
    Can I change DIRECTORY?

I open new catalog on the drive F:\Samples
and inside I have 5 different files with 5 different Excel sheets with data

    I tried. I changed directory - F:\Sample\ and I checked files - nothing changed
I did it again with new directory - F:\Sample\File 1\ - nothing changed
In my job I use Excel 2003
Drive F: is my USB memory

    Hi, BoKo
Yes, you can change DIRECTORY, and it doesn't matter files are saved in hard disc or USB memory. If the codes does not run, you'd better check Macro Safty of you excel, confirming that Macros are enabled.

    Hi Simcode!
I did it again and still same problem - nothing changed. I checked my excel (Security Warning - Enable Macros), I checked Tools - Macro - Security (Medium).
After that I choose Directory - F:\Samp\ and click Go

Maybe problem is with my catalogs?
    F:\Samp\File 1\Samp 1.xls
    F:\Samp\File 2\Samp 2.xls
    F:\Samp\File 3\Samp 3.xls
    F:\Samp\File 4\Samp 4.xls
    F:\Samp\File 5\Samp 5.xls

    Thanks for your help.
And sorry - on my computer it doesn't work. Nothing changed.
    I don't know - maybe I do something wrong?
I am not advanced user of Excel.
