Non modal form closes with modal form when it is closed

I have a non modal user form that is always displayed. there are many times when I load Modal forms atop the non modal form. but when I close the modal form, the non modal form closes with it. is there anyway around this? I know I can hide the modal form, but I'm not sure I want to simply hide all the user forms. wouldn't they always be then loaded into memory and slow things down?

If the non modal form closes then it would suggest your code is doing something to force it to close.
