    It looks you want to prepare a month display, is it?
    Why do you have a date for the month selection: Feb

    Re: update formulas validation data

    See the strange next formula
    E3=IF(MONTH(DATE($L$2,MONTH($I$2),(COLUMNS($E3:E3))))<> MONTH($I$2),"",TEXT((COLUMNS($E3:E3)),"dd"))

    Note:
    - if you were to use EXCEL 2010 you could use IFERROR to simplify
    - Instead to use date for the month info a number will simplify the formula to

    Did you have a look in the file attached?
    Care to change the format of the cell to general , NOT text

    For PCI,
    I tried your file in response # 7, but will continue to leave dd in the cells,
    I changed the format in the range E3:AI4 > general format but nothing changes.
    I excel 2007.

    Re: update formulas validation data

    "I changed the format in the range E3:AI4 > general format but nothing changes" did you enter the formula, it means clic the cell and press enter
    Have you ever try to put the formula in the cells
    If you are playing with excel 2007 try using
    E4 =IFERROR(DATE(L2,MONTH(I2),E3*1),"")
    and the file attached

    Re: update formulas validation data

    I'm really stuck with this story of the dd....
    Let's go step by step with new calend4.xlsx
    Clic in E3, to select the cell: do a print screen to show the formula.
    Verify that the format is general
    Press enter
    What's up
