I have this so far... but it is pretty slow. Any way to "speed" up?

Re: Too many IF's = slow

In itself this macro shouldn't be slow, but maybe it's executed many times.
If that's the case maybe you can find a way to decrease the number of executes?
    Cheers!

It gets executed once per doubleclick.
I guess I was expecting it to be "instant" but maybe that's not possible.

Can you upload the workbook so I can take closer look?

Been playing around with it a bit. I don't find it slow.
So probably something else is interfering.

Re: Too many IF's = slow

do the three cell values change to strLine all at the same time? or is it one by one?
after using it for a while, it seems pretty useable and not that slow.
I was just hoping for something more snappy.

Anyways thank you for your time

Re: Too many IF's = slow

Not sure about your definition of "snappy", but to me it looks rather that.
The cells are changed to strLine 1-by-1.
Can you try my sample and see if there is any performance difference with your workbook.

Is there also a worksheet_change procedure for that worksheet?
Changing the values would trigger that procedure and possibly slow things down.
If that is the case then you may want to disable event triggering while the workheet_beforedoubleclick procedure is running.
