Macro to get values from multiple closed workbooks into single open workbook

    Hi,

I am trying to work on one macro and in that in macro I want to get values of Column A, B, and C of all workbooks attached(workbooks closed at the same time) to the open workbook(LAP_information required).

Criteria for getting values will be the country( Country will be given in column G in all workbooks). I will select any one country from the given drop down in LAP_information required workbook, and then by pressing 'generate' button, I want macro to fetch all the values for that particular country from other closed workbooks into this single workbook.

I have attached all workbooks, LAP_information required work and the other three workbooks.
Could someone please help me out on this?

    Thanks in advance.

So your destination file would be on "information required.xlsx"?

What are the files you want to get the information from?

Yes right, my destination file would be " information required.xlsx"( we might need to convert it in macro enabled format).

This would take information from other three files - Inactive report_master, L02 & L04 - markups Report, no PIC on_050715

I would save all the files in just one specific location.

I changed it. Im no longer using the drop down. Go check it out. I did a partial modification with this one, so far im only attaching and getting from one source. It will allow you to enter the country name. Then tell me what else to change.

Edit: Attach inactive report master file for testing

I checked the file you created, it works great but I still find one problem - I am not getting any data in first row.

Secondly, when I get data from one file(no PIC on_050715) and then I try to get data from another file(L02 & L04 - markups Report), it removes data of first file from beginning rows.

I need data keeps adding, don't want to replace anything or delete anything until and unless I want to do it. I hope you understand my point.

There was some error in Inactive report_master - I made a new file( will add on other things later), attaching the same.

Ta-da! Sorry it took a while. This one now allows you to attach 3 sources. It fills up the first row and, it just keeps adding up! Check it out

Re: Macro to get values from multiple closed workbooks into single open workbook

I have two more questions on the same.

    - When I am selecting only one source, it gives error. In my case, this might happen that I only need information from only one or two sources at times.
    - Also, Would it be possible to just fix up the location of the files, I don't want to select location every time. If I would be able fix up location of all files, first question will not make any sense then, you can ignore that one.

Thanks a lot for helping me out.
