    Protect Sheet & allow Insert/Dlete Rows - ?

    Hi,

I've found the following line of code:

which I have placed at the end of:

Whatever I've tried, only Insert works.
    Delete refuses to work.
There is no error shown when the sub runs.

Where are my errors please ?

I might be misunderstanding this but shouldn't the locked value be false?

I've used similar code in one of my workbooks which had a button for users to insert rows (so they didn't screw up my named ranges):

This allowed them only to edit the new row and not and not mess with any existing data.

    BuZZarD73, thanks.

In my situation, I'm going to lock/protect the range("A1:K6") - no access for users.
Lock the row 3008, cells A to K (ie the range A3008:K3008).
Turn off DisplayAlerts for cols A, J and K.

This is a basic setup datasheet for them.
They will manage it to a large degree on their own.
I'm happy for them to insert or delete rows between rows 6 and 3008, since their final data might need only 250 rows.

    Thanks,
    Stuart.
