Sure, go to File->Options->Customize Ribbon and deselect the checkboxes on the right.

"File" ????
Where is this? I have no "File" !!!
I only see the office button with stuff like "Save" Save As" ect... But no "File".
The rest of my ribbon on top has no "File" either....
Standing by!
Maybe you're using a Mac?
On Mac you go to Excel->Preferences
On 2007 Windows OS, it should be under File.

Daffodil11,
I don't think I can do what you recommend in Excel 2007....
I think that only exists in Excel 2010

ok, but after I click on "Excel options" I don't see "Customize Ribbon" ????
I only see "Customize"
And under customize, I have been trying for a while to hide tabs without success!
LOL
Thanks anyway !!!
Cheers
