Calibrating vertical and horizontal scroll bars

    Hi all,
Is there a way to get the scroll bars coordinated so that when I scroll down, the calendar scroll bar moves with the coordinating dates with the schedule? Sample Attached.

Re: Calibrating vertical and horizontal scroll bars

I'm sorry but this question isn't clear. Are you saying that when you scroll down using the built-in scroll bar for the worksheet window, that you want your scroll bar located at AF4 to also scroll to the right by some corresponding amount?

One of the reasons that it isn't clear is that it's hard to imagine why you would want to do this. The only thing I can imagine is that as you scroll down to see more tasks, you also want to see the bars for those tasks at the right. But the bars could be anywhere. There's no guarantee that things will line up.

There is no built-in way to detect window scrolling in VBA. It is possible to build a way to do it but it's a little complicated and I've never done it myself. Here is a page with more info.

    Thanks,
I will do some research on it. Yes, I wasn't sure if this was possible or not. Basically when I scroll down the list, I want the scroll bar at AF4 to move with the dates from the tasks. It may not even be tied into the built in scroll bar actually, it may be as simple as setting the home made scroll AF4, to match some type of the row & date so that when I do scroll down, it moves the Gantt to be visible with the task. I guess if anyone has done this, maybe they will give me some guidance?
    Thank you Jazzer

Re: Calibrating vertical and horizontal scroll bars

    Hi all,
I have been thinking about this and is there a way of referencing the cell directly below the "Freeze Pane" (as it changes when scrolled) ? In X9 I have the formula "=F3+AF4-(F3-D10)" F3 being the project start date, AF4 being the position of the horizontal scroll bar, and F3-D10 being the start date - the lowest day of project, this sample 4/20/2015. This formula put the gantt chart (so to speak) at the lowest possible day (D10) in X9.

I am thinking if I could get something on_change? that it would change that formula to the Row/Cell in "D" it would move the scroll or gantt to that day in X9? On this sample, if you scrolled down and Row 30 was directly below "The Freeze Pane" then the formula for this would be something like "=F3+AF4-(F3-D30)" ? Is this possible? Not sure if you can reference the "Freeze Pane Row" or not? If so I think this could be rather simple maybe?
