Determine macro behind button on QAT

Please don't call me Stupid, but you're welcome to think it.

I have a ton of macros that I use all the time, and the ones I use most I've added to my QAT or to a Custom tab years ago. As an example, my Macro might be named "DummyNames1", and I might have "DummyNames2" through 5, depending on what I want to do with my dummy names. On my QAT, for clarity's sake, I've called them "Replace Selected Names with Dummy Names" or "Add Dummy names to Selected Cells". So now, years later, I want to do some cleanup. My delimma is, from the QAT, I don't see how can I tell which Macro I've assigned to that button. When i go to "Customize QAT", the names displayed are my "for clarity's sake" names, not the name of the macro. For something like a Command Button I can "View Code", but I don't see how to "View Code" on the QAT or a Custom tab.

Any ideas, other than "think ahead when you're doing your naming"?

I think you can right click on the button, then click assign macro and when the assign macro window opens, it will show the macro that is currently assigned to that button.

In the list of items on the QAT (in the customize QAT dialog), hover the cursor over the one you are interested in and it should pop up a tooltip telling you which macro it is.

When I do the right click on a QAT button, my options are:
    Add to Quick Access Toolbar
    Customize Quick Access Toolbar
Show Quick Access Toolbar below the Ribbon
    Customize the Ribbon
    Minimize the Ribbon
When I hover over the button, the tooltip tells me the name of the button, not the name of the macro that runs it.

Not over the button - over the item in the list in the Customise QAT dialog.

Well, if I'd read your first post more closely I would have seen that, wouldn't I? Romperstomper, you're a wizard! Hovering in the customize QAT dialog absolutely did the trick, and taught be something new. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
