Hi all

I am trying to lockdown a spread sheet so that it is protected and formatting is not allowed. So what I have done is simply password protected the sheet. So at the end of my macros that have to unlock and then run code and the lock the spread sheet, there is no problem as I end it with ' Allowformattingcells:=False '.

However someone has asked if they could have the cell fill color enabled.

I am happy to do this but unsure what is the code, or where to put the code, before or after?

Am I going about this wrong. The formatting is disabled as I don't want them messing the conditional formats, not really worried about font etc.

Is there a command to protect conditional formats rather than all formats and does this go with the .protect part of the code or is there another way?

I am using Excel 2007, but we will soon move to 2013 and will need it to work in that version.

Many Thanks
