Your post does not comply with Rule 3 of our Forum RULES. Use code tags around code.

Highlight your code and click the # icon at the top of your post window. More information about these and other tags can be found here

Not sure what code tags are and could not see the red hashtag after highlighting my code.

not sure what you mean by ultimate entry.

also i have a 2 versions of this the spreadsheet that use this code. One uses active x controls and the other uses form control. This code still works perfect in the version that uses active x control but does not work in the version that uses form control even though it worked just fine previously.

    Code Tags do this:

*Ultimate entry is the last character - it must be a backslash to engage the directory

screenshot.png Here is a screenshot if that helps. The file path is valid and the picture being looked up if a valid picture in that folder

Re: Run Time Error "1004": Unable to get the Insert property of the picture class

You need to put the code tags on your post#1.

The screenshot doesn't help - just check to see that the directory call ends in a backslash.

AND:Attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

    Remember to desensitize the data.

Click on GO ADVANCED and use the paperclip icon to open the upload window.

Re: Run Time Error "1004": Unable to get the Insert property of the picture class

Issue resolved. It was the ID 10 T error. I had password protected the worksheet and forgot to put the code back in to unlock the worksheet, run the macro, and then reprotect the worksheet. Works like a champ now just needed to sleep on it.

    Thanks for the help.
