What is the best way to split cells?

I have a pricing system that exports data to a "Quote" page in the workbook. Once the quote is completed, the data is exported to a "Quote System" - a different Excel workbook based on a template.

It's not uncommon for the data in the Description field to overrun the length of the field. So I'm trying to figure out a way to split the data into two rows in those cases. Two questions:

1) Should I split when moving the data onto the Quote page, or when transferring to the Quote System?

2) Can I get some help doing that?

Have you considered Wrap Text in the Description Column(s)?

So apparently I already had a macro in there doing exactly what I wanted (guessing from 5+ years ago); I just changed the # of characters to trim it to and voila, it's working. Here's the VBA code I have:

May not be super pretty, but it works. I call it right after the description is pasted into the cell.
