Cool To compare a list of items in column ? with items in all columns that are not blank.

    Good morning everyone,

I am looking for VB code that will compare a list of items in column ? or a selection with items in all columns that are not blank. Preferably, it will return the column address and highlight the matching cells in both columns. If the entire list that is to be matched is not found in any of the active columns, it should return, match not found. The only goal of the code is to see if a list of items are found in another column and in which column the match was found. Thank you.

If you could post an example workbook that mirrors the formatting of your actual workbook, along with Before and After sheets, you'd probably have a better time getting an answer.

What you're asking isn't that hard, but formatting dependent, so at best you'd get a half answer w/o an example.

Thank you John. I included a sample file as walruseggman suggest above. When run, any item in column matches and shades the corresponding matching cell. What I am hoping for is that only the column that has all matching cells to column "A" should shade. In short, column "F" is the only column that contains all 7 matches. Any matches in cells "B" through "E" will be left alone; eventhough they may have at least one match. Thank you again for the assist.
