Automatically insert a decimal point on specific cells only

Hi,

Is there a way to allow the automatic insertion of decimal points to specific cells only?

On my worksheet I have 3 columns S, T and U

S = Are for names
T = Are for numbers that are not currency amounts.
U = Are for Dollar amounts wherein decimal point insertion should be applied in a way that if you need to type $15.34, it's simply typing 1534 and the decimal should auto insert after 2 places.

The main problem is that Excel's advanced option - "Automatically insert decimal points" affects the whole sheet regardless and any number entered in Column T becomes dollar amounts too.

It works awesome! However why is it still defaulting to my country's currency instead of US Dollars?
