Automated Search And Replace using a list - revisited

Hi all , you may have seen this original post and cool macro solution created by Stanleydgromjr.. I downloaded the file that Stan created , but cannot get it to work. Wondering if it's because I am using Excel For Mac 2011. I use macros and they have always worked the same from what I can tell. But this one is bugging-out when I run it. Original post url and screenshot of where error occurs is below. Any ideas ? thanks

PS - (I re-posted this as a new post because a forum monitor suggested I do that rather than continue commenting on the old posting.. thanks)

    syncguy,

    1. What version of Excel, and, Windows are you using?

    2. Are you using a PC or a Mac?

Your link (which does not work) is to a PNG file.

You are posting a picture. This means that if this was a problem where one needed to use your data, anyone trying to help you would have to enter the data manually. That makes no sense and I doubt that you would get an answer.

To get the most precise answer, it is best to upload/attach a sample workbook (sensitive data scrubbed/removed/changed) that contains an example of your raw data on one worksheet, and on another worksheet your desired results.

The structure and data types of the sample workbook must exactly duplicate the real workbook. Include a clear and explicit explanation of your requirements.

To attach your workbook, click on the New Post button, then scroll down and click on the Go Advanced button, then scroll down and click on the Manage Attachments button.

    Have a great day,
    Stan

    Windows 10, Excel 2007, on a PC.

Hi Stan , I'm on Excel For Mac 2011. Here is the file again (it is also in the url to the original thread on the subject up that I added to this initial posting). You wrote this macro and created this file back in 2008 , right ? thanks

xladept , hmmm.. I'm still getting a run-time error as soon as I run the macro. DO you mean , with the added changes you suggested above ? I could not figure out where to add those changes in the VBA. thanks

    Hi Syncguy,

No - ignore my previous post. The routine ran but did nothing until I changed the Correction from "amd" to "Amd" It's not seeing the "amd" because, in the sample, they're entered as "Amd". It's using the match case even though the match case is declared False

But, with my PC, I get no run-time error
