Can't find and open files on a Sharepoint drive

I want to scan all the files on a sharepoint folder and modify them.
The issue I have is that I always get either the error 52 "Bad file name or number" at the line myfile=dir(MyPath) or the dir fucntion returns a NULL string to myfile.
The sharepoint is a secured one.
I tried to map the drive as Z: on my computer but still get the same error.
