    Filter by part of name

    hello friends,

here i am again, seeking your assistance.
i have attached a sample excel working sheet, but the original has some 1500 plus rows.

we maintain all our sales here. you will observe that for each stage we use a particular colour. for example if an order is confirmed, we mark it yellow and if the job is fully completed (goods delivered and monies received) it's marked as grey.

my question is could we filter the ACCOUNT column by typing a part of the name so that the condition is to search only the ACCOUNT column to match and list the rows as it is in a new sheet?

for example, if i type "AM" then rows 7 & 8 should appear as it is and if type "CHEMIX" then entire row of 9 should appear as it is.

    pleased to hear

    regards

See attached file, I hope that it's what you need.

Digit something in the first sheet in range E5 and the macro filter the records and copy them in the second sheet.

This is the code that I used:

    Hi Antonio,
Many thanks for the coding and it works beautifully. Since the main sheet "SCHEDULE" gets filtered, the sheet "FILTERED" was deleted and works fine. I did not edit the coding as it works just fine even without the sheet "FILTERED". Do you think that the code should be edited? I am clueless about the code. Anyway, a big thank you to you mate!!!

    Hello John,
Thank you too for the code. But honestly I do not know how to run the code. I would love to have a go at your code as well BUT need some assistance. Thus, please send an excel sheet. Thanks Buddy.

    Regards
    Rizvi

Unlike Antonio's code my code goes in a Standard Module and can be run from the Developer's Tab or a button.
