Force cell completion based on another Cells Value

    Hi,

I have a worksheet where cells D3 to D38 have a drop down list choice. If a user selects 'confirmed' from the drop down list can I force them to complete the relevant row in O

E.g D3 = 'confirmed' so O3 must be filled in or D28 = 'confirmed' so 028 must be completed etc etc..

I'm thinking that if a user selects 'confirmed' in D a msgbox could appear to inform them to complete O

    is this possible?

    many thanks

I'm interested in starting a career working with VBA, if anyone knows of any opportunities!

You could try this in a worksheet change event..

See attached and type confirmed in cell D3
    Paul MsgBox for confirmed.xlsm

If this works for you and you need more help, let me know.

Edit* Go with walruseggman's suggestion as I think it will serve your purpose better than mine will.

Thanks guys for both responses - Would it be possible to have a yes / no msg box on this so if the user chooses Yes then "Yes" is entered in O or if they choose No then "No" is entered in O ?

    Thanks again

Ok I have just been searching through the forum and managed to come up with this

This actually does what I need it to but how can I ensure that it only put Yes or No on the correct Row

    For example

If "confirmed" is entered in D35 then the response text "Yes" or "No"is only entered in O35

For clarity "confirmed" could be entered in any D col between rows 3 - 38

    Thanks again
