I'm looking to put text in the header of the worksheet with the contents of the first filtered cell in range A5:A5000, so say insert text "Today" and the contents in first filter cell A35 which is "12/06/15" so it wud read "Today 12/06/2015"

To enter a date in a text string, you would use ="Today "&TEXT(A35,"mm/dd/yy")
