Save as without creating a backup file

Hi,
I am using the SaveAs method in my macro, as follows:

Please Login or Register  to view this content.

But it still creates a backup for the saved file (the file being saved is not the file containing the macro). Is there a way to prevent the backup from being created?

You could check settings i.e. File -> Save As In the small windows that opends click on Tools -> General Options and check if box marked "Always create backup" is ticked.

Thanks for the suggestion. I checked and found that this box is not ticked, so the problem is probably due to another cause.
