The database I have created is heavily dependent on the home page in the following ways:
(a) SITE- when a user clicks site a drop down list will appear (source: SITES WORKSHEET) the CLIENT section is autofilled.
(b) PLOT- the plot should then only show the relevant plot numbers related to the site selected (THIS IS WHAT I AM HAVING PROBLEMS WITH, THE PLOT NUMBERS AND THEIR RESPECTIVE HOUSE TYPES ARE LISTED ON THE PLOTNO WORKSHEET- HOW DO I PERFORM THIS ACTION?)
(c) HOUSE TYPE- This would be autofill based on the plot number selected.
(d) DRAWING - when the HOUSE TYPE has been autofilled, an outline image of the house type should then be posted onto the DRAWING section in the centre of the drawing area. Thisoutline image should be to a scale of 1:500. (HOW DO I POST THIS IMAGE AND HOW DO I SET A 1:500 scale in excel ?)
(e) WEIGHTS- as the drawing is posted, the weight details of the house type are then posted onto the DETAIL worksheet of the workbook ( HOW DO I PERFORM THIS ACTION WHEN THERE ARE MULTIPLE TABLES WITH NUMEROUS DATA ? This data is linked to the house type and is listed on the WEIGHTS worksheet)
Please I really need your help as I am struggling. My limited VBA has meant that the overall outcome I am looking for cannot be achieved as everything is dependent. Basically the user should only fill out the front page and that is it. Then the print out come I have no problem with at all.
I know there is definitely a way to do this but I am beyond frustrated as I am unable to code it the right way and to achieve the desired outcome.
I have removed all of the drawing images as there is a limit on here of 1MB. However there are approximately 160 drawings that I would need to make sure theyare all linked and that they all react to the user selecting the site and the house type on the home page.
