    SUM if Bold UDF to Ignore Bold Formatted Text

    I'm using this UDF to allow me to SUM only numbers in a range that use Bold Formatting. All works well, however if the also happens to be 'Bold' formatted text within the same range the function errors? Is there a way to adapt it to 'ignore' text?

    Be aware that that function will not update automatically if you bold or unbold a cell.

    @ TMS, thanks, that works perfectly, I'll test it with my workbook to make sure it does what I hope it will...

    @ shg, that shouldn't be an issue, it only needs to update when that physical value in a cell changes, there would be no need to change the cell format, so fingers crossed...

    Many thanks to you both, I'll report back if there are any issues with this approach.
