    How to set dynamic ranges

    Hi,

I wonder how to set dynamic ranges - please see attached sample.

I have many different ID (1000, 2000, ...) - which actully represents a customer - and for each ID about 4-5 rows.

I need the macro to do some calculations in the relative ranges - for example in B2:D6 for ID=1000 and so on

    Hope my question is clear.

    Any help will be great

This very much depends on what actions you are taking on each set of IDs.
It could be that you're vastly over complicating things by getting macros involved where formulas could do all you need.

Perhaps if you could tell us a little more it would be helpful.

What are the calculations? Are there numbers from B2:D6 ?

Thanks. I'll be back later after checking the file maybe formulas can be the solution.

Re: How to set dynamic ranges

No choise - I really need to dynamically set the ranges.. it's too complicated for formulas.

    Any seggestions?

Example for calc. in a given range (b2:d6) -

    1. check if b-i (i= 1, 2, 3, ...) is positive/negative (say b5 is negative (-100))

    2. if negative then subtract from a positive b-i (say b2 is positive (105))

it's even more complicated.. this is why I was thinking to work in distinguish ranges..
