I have created a data entry form that functions very well with the exception of 3 items. For a little background, this is for a construction company that receives many calls. Some are regarding current projects while others are for leads. I need help (lots) with the following 3 issues.
1). Automatic date and time. This would be recorded for the initial call (or record creation). It can never change and should repopulate that field should we have to edit/update that record. I would like it to populate the screen and associated worksheet upon initial entry.
1a). "Update date and time" field (separate from above). This one will change and should be auto populated once the record is found (via search)
2). Auto creation of a project number (sequential; 100, 101, 102...... etc). This would never change and should, once created, populate the screen and worksheet.
3). Search capability. Have the ability to search on a field ( multiple fields to choose from) and return that record to the form for edit/update.
I'm new to VB and am still trying to figure everything out. I can post screen shot of for or associated code to date.
