Help with index and match with a range using vba

Could someone help me with an index and match function using vba? Right now in range AB6:AB16 (on sheet "Item 1") would be the index looking at sheet "lookups" range C4:C22 and range AC6:AC16 (on sheet "Item 1") would be the match looking at sheet "lookups" range D4:I4. And I would like to put the actual number value found in Range AE6:AE16 on Sheet 1

Not sure I could dummy down a version of what I'm working on. So I recorded a macro with this formula in it and the results are below. My issue is I don't want to put formulas in this sheet to start with. Anyways this macro only is applied to cell AE7. And what I would like is to be able to run this automatically run this on cells AE6:AE16 anytime cells AC6:AC16
