Is it possible to use list to correct orthography?

Hello there,

I have a column with the name of several institutions, many records belong to the same institution so the column can have 10 institutions with the same name. Unfortunately there are typos in the list. Where in one row it says "INSTITUTION A" the other says "INZTITUTION A" (to give an example)

I was wondering if there is any way I can use a list I have and use it to auto-correct the institution's names given similarities?

You can prevent that happening when the data is typed in by adding Inztitution to the Auto-correct list. To add to the list, click on the File button, then select Excel Options (at the bottom of the panel), then click on Proofing (the 3rd one down - it might be spelt differently for you), and then click on Auto-correct Options to get the list.
