Problem with macro created ribbon tab

I have for the last few years used macro created ribbon tabs to nest a list of macro controlled function for that workbook. The macro creates the menu bar on opening and remove the menu bar on closing. Code for open & close

The changes to excel 2007 automatically added a tab to the ribbon instead of the tab like buttons at the bottom of the screen that it used to create

My problem is that one user (by whatever method - baffles me). Has two copies of this tab content in any open workbook of excel and it is interfering with other workbook functions. Even when excel itself is opened independently they are there.

I have tried many times running the Remove bar macro but no effect. On opening the workbook it gives a macro error on that "remove toolbar line". I have looked through the excel options menu to remove it manually and no luck. It effects no other PC on the network - just the boss's :-)

Any assistance in removing this greatly appreciated. Nigel

Re: Problem with macro created ribbon tab

I removed Office 2007 Professional from the machine and when reloaded the two menu bars remain. I have noticed on hovering over the ribbon they are referred to as Custom Menu bar 51 and Custom Menu 52. Does this mean they are somehow written to the registry of Office.

Also if I rewrite the macro Remove MenuBar to refer to Custom Menubar 51/2 would this clear them if them macro was run??

Any ideas appreciated, it is wrecking my head at this stage, and would have to be that one particular machine

I did as I thought earlier, rewrote the autoclose macro to specifically remove "Custom 51" and "Custom 52". Normal order restored - for a while LOL
