Get inserted image filename / name in a new column

    Hi guys,

I received from a client a large .xlsx file with hundreds of images directly inserted into the file.

I'm trying output the name (or even better the filename) of the image in a new column programmatically or with a macro.

Could you please point me in the right direction?

Thank you in advance for your time.

    Hello jackooze,

    Welcome to the Forum!

I am not sure if you are referring to pictures, their links, or both. Can you create a sample workbook with maybe 10 pictures in it?

Be sure to change or redact any information that you don't want to be viewed publicly before you post.

    How To Post Your Workbook
    1. At the bottom right of the Reply window, Click the button Go Advanced
    2. At the top of the Your Message Window, in the first row of icons, Click the Paperclip icon.
    3. Click the Add Files button at the top right in the dialog box. This displays the File Manager dialog.
    4. Click the Select Files button at the bottom middle of the dialog.
    5. In the new window Find the file you want to upload, select it, and Click Open.
    6. You will now be back in the File Manager dialog. Click the bottom Middle button Upload File.
    7. Wait until the file has completely uploaded before you exit the File Manager dialog.
    Sincerely,
    Leith Ross

Re: Get inserted image filename / name in a new column

    @Leith Ross

Thank you for your answer !

I created a test workbook for my problem.

    excelforum-test.xlsx

    To clarify my question :

In column E, I would like to get the filename of the images present in column F.

    So in this case :
    1. E2 : image07.jpg
    2. E3 : image08.jpg
    3. E4 : image44.jpg

    Does it make sense?

    Thank you again :-)
