Hi All,
Happy New Year to one and all. At my work we have just started to use a 3rd party addin to retrieve data from their databases (if anyone knows it: Nielsen Answers), but we've unearthed a strange issue. When this addin is loaded, and you go to highlight a table of figures greater than the width of length of the screen, the cursor jumps back to the current active cell (normally the top left). I'm selecting the range using Ctrl+Shift down / right on a table. In addition when you go to grow the selected range by a row or column (ie. Shift+down / right etc.) again you are unable to see what is happening as the active cell (again normally the top left) keeps being activated - even if you've manually scrolled to the bottom / far right of the range (by clicking / dragging the scroll bars of window).
I've tried to alt tab to the bottom of the range too but then (as I'm sure you guys will know) it then creates difficulty in growing shrinking the highlighted cells.
As soon as you unload the addin, there is no problem. So I assume that this addin is causing the issue however, when you run the same addin (same version of software) in Excel 2010 there is no problem!
Has anyone else experienced this issue with excel 2007 with other vba coding / addins? Due to it being a 3rd party addin it's locked down so I can't really see what's going on. I did however contact the supplier and their answer to this problem was to upgrade to Excel 2010(!) which isn't really feasible at this moment in time.
Hope someone can help or suggest some other tests / work arounds.
Thanks in advance
Rodp
