Incremental value in cell and stop when a value is reached

Hi folks, I have a formula that counts the number of non blank cells. I want to increment the value of a cell in a column by 1 until it reaches the value set by the formula. I have used this to set the value of Y y = "=counta(c6:c2000)" and I want the macro to stop when the value of the cell is equal to y.

I can't figure out how to do that. As you can tell I am a novice at this.
