Unless the code is very hidden, I could discover no VBA used in the workbook. All the magic is done with pivot tables, hyperlinks, and named formulas.
The workbook is very nicely done. Are you able to discover the author? I'm hampered by my inability to read Arabic.
Reverse engineering a workbook done as well as this one can teach one a lot. Reverse engineering does take patience and quite a bit of right-clicking.
With ten minutes exploring, I found:Two hidden worksheets containing pivot tables: "PivotTable الأسعار" and "PivotTable اتجاه المبيعات".
Two named formulas using the OFFSET() function.
Two named tables.
Forward and backward buttons on the visible worksheets are grouped shapes with hyperlinks.
The buttons used to change the chart data, on the "تقرير مبيعات المنتجات" tab, are pivot table slicers/filters.
The bar charts use text boxes for titles.
The author included ALT TEXT for his charts.
Custom number formats are used in the tables and charts.
Thanks a lot for reply and for these great discoveries ..As I need to learn how the file be formatted , let's create an example and try to simulate it to learn step by step ...
I am sorry for my delayed response. I seriously considered your proposal to create an example spreadsheet, and I have to decline. I'm too busy at work and at home to undertake such an open-ended project. I'm sorry to disappoint you.
I was seriously tempted. The posted example uses good design principles, showing clear separation of data, logic (business logic in this case, or data manipulation), and presentation. The graphic design was simple and effective. I've also wanted to explore and learn more about pivot tables. However, pivot tables are an unneeded complication (or the wrong approach entirely) for the data I generate and analyze daily. I'll postpone my education in that area.
If you do experiment with creating an example, I'll try to assist with specific questions when you post on these boards.
