Unhappy Run-time error 1004: Cannot start the source application for this project (Powerpoint/VBA)

Hi, I am having the above error code appear when trying to run my macro... Powerpoint itself opens but it cannot seem to open/find the template needed? It was working this morning and hasn't been moved, but others have had this problem for a while so I am guessing maybe it is something to do with the Excel or VBA settings?

Any help would be appreciated, the step where it bugs has been highlighted.

    Thanks!

could you upload a sample Sheet of the excel file?
Also what is the filetype of your template in Powerpoint? is it an actual template file or is it an empty presentation? maybe upload a sample of it too (cut out company name etc if needed)

    Hi LordLoki,

I've actually solved the issue (and as a novice am very proud of myself!).

For anyone interested, the embedded PowerPoint file in the Excel file that the macro is launched from was created in Excel 2010. By moving the file over to 2013 and updating the reference in the code, it now opens the source file correctly and starts porting over the info correctly.

I'm now having some problems with the server throwing an exception after copying and pasting some data, but hoping a restart (as usual) will remedy that.
