I am new to this, I have gone to ActiveX toolbar and open SEP Date Control it seems to be what I am looking for but I am not able to link it to a cell on the work sheet. Can someone tell me how to link it to a cell?

I for one am dumbfounded that Microsoft have not included a Date Picker or Calendar control in their recent versions of Excel. There are many Add-ins that will do this but the problem here is that if you share your work and the other party does not have the Add-in it will not work.
I have Attached a file that is extracted from my solution to this problem. I DID NOT write the class module but have left the authors in the comments section as they requested when they shared this.
See if you can adapt this to suit your needs.

Export the Class module and then import to your project, do the same with the form or design your own
