Custom Ribbon button color ??

Hello i have created a custom ribbon in Custom UI Editor but i was wondering if there is any way to change button background color ??

For example "button A" would have background color blue

"button B" would have background color = red

Do you can not change colour. You can use non transparent image for the button but that does not fill 100% of the button.
