Password protection not showing password on screen as user types it

    Hi,

I have added a macro that adds password protection to a button on a spreadsheet so that if the user clicks it they can enter the password and show certain information. However currently when I click on the button it brings up the password prompt and then can enter the password and it works perfectly but as I am typing the password it is shown on the screen rather than being hidden (i.e. a series of bullet points for example)

Does anyone know a way that I can change the password prompt box so it doesn't show the password on the screen as I type it?

    Many thanks,
    Tony

    Hi, Tony,

use a UserForm with a Textbox where you will find the PasswordCharacter to be shown in the TB while entering. Or give uzop the code you use. If you use an InputBox you whóuld need to use API to add a password character instead of the real ones.

    Ciao,
