Screen update - does not work? Merged cells and border lines are slow to update?

Hi.
I have a macro that first run a delete code;

In the same code, right after the delete code, a have a userform that pops up.
After userform, I disable the screenupdate, and at the end of the code, I enable screenupdate.

What happens, is that all the numbers gets deleted before the userform shows up, but the merged cells and border lines are still there when the userform is showing...?
It's not a big problem, but seems a little unprofessional to me.
Is there a way to force a screenupdate (or another methode?) so all of the cells and border lines gets deleted and the merged cells gets unmerged ?
